I have visited New York before but have never been to the top of the Rockefeller Center until my last visit. The Rockefeller Center isn't as tall as the Empire State but it gives you a great view of it! Something the Empire State Building can't do - give you a view of itself! The building itself is home to many shops and restaurants as well as ... Read the complete review

I went to New York about 5 years ago and since then have yet found a place as exciting and synthetically beautiful. I went during February and if you think England is cold then think again! There was small snow blizzard at the time and the cold got right down to your skin. But once you get a cab, bus and or coach from the airport to the city the ... Read the complete review

=============== Top of The Rock =============== The Top of the Rock is one of the places I really wanted to visit when in New York, however when I said it to friends and family, only about half of them had even heard of it before. Of course a lot of them had heard of Rockefeller Centre but not Top of the Rock. This ... Read the complete review

As you have probably guessed from my reviews, I like New York. So it must come as no surprise that I shall do this review, expecially since I stated in my Empire State Building review that this is the better building to go up. For those that disagree, I stand by that statement. Last year, the wife and myself had 2 trips to New York. The first ... Read the complete review

Top of the Rock I spent a week in New York last summer and did a lot of the usual tourist things but the top of the rock was right up there with my favourites. Like many people im sure, I thought long and hard over whether to go up the rock or the empire state building. I finally opted for the rock due to various sources of feedback ... I've been to New York several times over the past few years and have been up the Top of the Rock 3 times now. Pluses: Hardly and queues (compared to the Empire State) Can often get discounts from staff handing round the Rockefeller Plaza View of Central Park View of the Empire State Building Large viewing ... I have just got back from New York. Everything there is massive. Top of the rock is a great experience. It is 67 stories high and was built during the last reccession by Rockafella. According to tour guides he built the bulding with no one rady to occupy it. and so he could attract attention to the building he would hire people at first just to ... Read the complete review

In my opinion if I had to choose a better experience it would be the Top of the Rockfeller Centre over the Empire state building - why you ask? well more freedom at the top, no long queue. I went a few years back. Its open from 8am to midnight with the last lift going up at 11pm I went to the top of the Rockfellow which is located ... Read the complete review

I have just returned from a 5 day break in the wonderful New York City and on our first full day we visited the Top of the Rock observatory at the Rockefeller Centre which is located on 6th Avenue and 50th Street on Manhattan Island. Upon arriving at 11am on a Thursday we were pleasantly surprised that there was no queue and we managed ... Read the complete review

I think the Top Of The Rock is amazing. The Rockefeller centre in New York is situated at the Rockefeller Plaza. It is an amazing little area that takes you away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and it is where the famous christmas tree is situated over the holiday period and where the famous elections are held at other times. The Rockefeller is amazing!! ~ My Opinion ~ I went up the Rockefeller about a year ago now and it was one of the best experiances of my life. I've been lucky enough to go to New York twice this year, and this was one thing from the first visit we knew we wanted to do again on the second. Rockafeller Centre is an urban planners dream from yester-year. In the hustle and bustle of the jungle that is New York, it promised office space high above the crazy pavements below and a ... I stumbled against this wee gem by accident and was really glad I did! Its at the Rockerfela centre the main entrance is 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. Its open between 8am to midnight. To get up to the observatory deck you go up an elevator which goes whoosshh (it goes so fast it makes you ave butterflies)! Once at the top ... Read the complete review
