Venice Beach is a very popular celebrity spotting destination if you're into that kind of thing, and I have read in many a celebrity interview that Venice Beach is a popular place for them to relax. I walked to Venice Beach from Santa Monica, which is much easier to get to by public transport. To get to Santa Monica from Los Angeles, I got the Metro Red line (subway) to Westlake/McArthur Park Station, then hopped on a bus outside the 99 cents store, which takes you right to Santa Monica. Venice Beach is a popular tourist spot, located just South of Santa Monica, in the city of Venice in Los Angeles County. The beach is famous for it's unusual displays, it's busy atmosphere, it's bustling board walk and some of the most weird and wonderful sights one will ever experience! Just after the business of the Venice Boardwalk is the Venice Pier, which although not as action packed as the pier at Santa Monica, is a lovely walk out into the pacific ocean.
