My wife had been insisting for a number of years that she wanted to visit China. It always seemed a long way to go to me to visit a third world country. OK, there's the Great Wall and also the Terracotta Army but what else to justify an outlay of a lot of money? I remained to be convinced. A small booklet in a Sunday newspaper suggested that maybe there was a way to satisfy the curiosity without breaking the bank. The booklet was from Voyages Jules Verne and featured their unique blend of historical interest and pure sightseeing in famous locations all around the World. The particular tour that attracted our attention was the Treasures of China tour. ...
