Madame Tussauds: ... of almost every one and were still at the exit in an hour and a half. And this included 10 minutes queueing for the utterly pointless Stardome show. What is this about?? Its neither amusing or informative. Its not even an advert - even the kids were bemused as to what it was for. I expected at least a show of how the models were made, what we saw were 4 half made heads in glass cases. Some interactive eve...

ozziekay Royal Albert Hall
... at around £6.00 and start on the half hour, and last an hour. The tour commences with a history lesson on the building of Royal Albert Hall and how the funds were raised. It goes into detail of Prince Alberts death and the impacts to Queen Victoria. The tour then takes you into a box seat, and shows where the Royal Box is and the queens entrance and private retiring room. There are details provided about the acoustics of the hall, and the many different setups available for performances. Including Tennis, and filling a portion of it with water for a performance of Swan lake. I think the tour needs to have a better display of the sound levels, and a longer visit into ...

ozziekay St Paul's Cathedral
... available with the London Pass. St Pauls is absoutely the best attraction in London. The London pass allowed us entry into St Pauls (equivalent of £10), and we purchased the Supertour pass. This tour gave us a behind the scenes look, and access to areas within the cathedral, which are not available to public access. Including the deans entrance, and The choir area, where the Choir boys sit. The detailing of the ceiling and the history of the building, has less to do with religion and more to do with the History of London and it's people. This absolutely must be added onto any tourist agenda. We were taken on a tour of the crypt and told all manner of int...

The Elsecar Heritage Centre is free to visit and is well worthy of a visit if you are interested in the local history of the area. Whilst there are obvious museum style items such as fully restored steam locomotive engines in the steam railways section (one such example even occupies the main courtyard), there are also more unusual features to be found here to. I was particularly fascinated by the Victorian classroom which is a replica of how a typical local school classroom would have l...
