Alnwick is a great place to visit for people of any age.
Where else could you entertain the entire family all in one location. While the kids wonder at Hogwart's, also known as Alnwick Castle, parents can wonder tat the history. Home to the Percy family, the Duke and Duchess have recently opened a state of the art visitor attraction in the form of a landscaped garden with many plants and trees as well as the main attraction of a fantastic water feature.
With it's central location, Alnick makes the Northumberland coast and National Park an everyday attraction. The town itself combines the usual shops with some fantastic local dealers, lovely pubs and restaurants, some ancient buildings and an abundance of history! See if you can set sail while supping a quick half?
For anyone wanting to explore the North East, Alnwick acts as a fascinating base. Although not the biggest of towns, there is enough to keep you entertained. Use this opportunity to visit the local attractions and explore Newcastle, the coastline and the National Park.
