Advantages: Some good shops

Disadvantages: Road network can be taxing

Grantham isn't a bad place to live, there are definatley worse! It has improved greatly over the last few years with the addition of new shops dotted around the centre of town. We now have Next, Tk Maxx, Matalan, Home bargains, Homebase, ASDA, a Fun farm for the children amongst the other usual shops. There is a cinema (that isn't up to much I must admit), bowling alley, lots of restaurants that offer different cuisines and a moutain of pubs & clubs to entertain yourselves in the evenings.

The road network isn't bad although schoool run times and rush hours it can take a good 45 minutes to cross town which is a nightmare. We're situated in between the A1, A52 & A607 which can lead you to most places.

Historically there are a few interesting facts; Isacc Newton discovered gravity near by, Margaret Thatchers birthplace of the old grocers which is now Living Health near to ASDA, Gareth Gates recently got secretley married at Belvoir Castle.

If you drive about 5 miles out of town there are some lovely walks around the surrounding villiages, great for dog walking.

Summary: OK but the council need to improve the road network

I used to work in Grantham at De Vere, comuting from the A52, so I agree on the roads ! At least I could jump on the A1 and go the back way as the town centre is a nightmare for some reason. Was there two weeks ago, and lunched at the Angel and Royal
