Advantages: Lots of shops, The beach, Loads to do

Disadvantages: The greasy spoons

Greasy spoons and amusement arcardes. That's primarily why people come to Yarmouth. Or is it? Well, considering the seafront is probably the main thing people are attracted to, then the above named is what they will find!

Okay, so they're not ALL greasy spoons. There are the odd one or two, but most of them are rather nice. There are loads of restaurants on the seafront to choose from where you can get a fairly nice roast dinner for a fiver. Bare in mind, it's tinned veg they use, and not the real macoy! But, you can't expect much else for a fiver, can you? There are numerous arcades along the front to fritter your money away on the 2p machines, and other mind-boggling machines. Now I'm on the seafront, I'll stay there for the time being.

There is Joyland, a small fun fair next door to Brittania Pier aimed at children, although adults can ride on some rides with them. There is also the Pleasure Beach. But I won't go into that one. (See seperate opinion for details!). There are 2 main piers. One I've already mentioned, and Wellington Pier, which is owned by Jim Davidson. Both have summer shows in July and August which are good fun. Situated in the middle of the piers is the Jetty, a smaller pier. There's nothing on here, but good for fishermen.

Heading towards town, there is Regent Road, where you will find all the seaside shops that sell cheap undies and t-shirts with obscenities written on them. All the things people want to make a complete dick of themselves! But - we love 'em, don't we?!

The beach is large and spacious. Although, in my opinion, the sea itself isn't 100% pure, you do find people swimming in it, and there is enough beach to fit the largest of families on with their hired deck chairs and wind-breaks!

Into town, market day is on a Wednesday and Saturday (on a Friday too in summer time). This is taken up in the carpark, and is fairly big,
with 3 rows to wander up and down. There is parts of the old town wall peppered around the town which you will find along the way.

The Quay itself makes a rather pleasent stroll. Sometimes there's not many boats in, but all the same, a nice walk! There are plenty of alley ways to walk down with shops down them.

Great Yarmouth is great for all ages, from the very old to the very young. There's something for everyone, and whatever time of year you decide to come, I'm sure you'll have a great time!
