Advantages: Its lovely

Disadvantages: Museum closed

Botanic gardens is an oasis and it really is a place for all as it was intended. I moved from living nearby and I miss it.

Beautifully tended, in summer the gardens are a blaze of colour. It is such a good thing that the amazing glass house was saved after being left to rot years ago. There was once a beautiful gate lodge at the main entrance that sadly has gone, such a pity.

A statue of an eminemt scientist (can't remember his name) greets you as you go in. The Ulster museum's lovely/ugly building sits in the gardens, I can't wait until it reopens I miss going through it.

The palm house survives, the big green is hiving with people in the summer sunbathing, playing games and picnicing. Great location next to Queens and Stranmillis. A real shared space and a place that is ours, enjoy and treasure it.

Summary: Lovely place
