Advantages: Nice pictures

Disadvantages: Wrong historical info.

Dolmens a NOT of Celtic origin! Traces of Celtic people are found from about 400BC, not in Ireland but in Austria and Swiss (Halstatt culture) If we speak about Celtic people in Ireland, we talk about 400-800AD. Dolmens and other Neolithic structures have been build from about 5000BC (France) till about 2500BC. There are NOT mainly found on the European Islands, but there are everywhere and mainly on the main land of Europe (France,Germany, Holland) but also in the rest of the world like Russia, Turkey, Japan and Vietnam. Carlow can claim that they have the largest Dolmen, but I suppose they did not look to other Dolmens in the rest of the world. In my opinion the largest Dolmen I've seen is in Portugal, the Dolmen of Zambujero. So many mistakes in such a small article....

Hi and welcome to dooyoo, enjoy the site! I agree with I Like Blue, I won't rate your text, though, as I don't know how. Please read around a bit so that you get the hang of dooyoo. Cheers, Malu

Welcome to dooyoo!

I'm not sure what to make of your 'opinion', on one hand it seems like just a contradiction to the 'short description' and yet you do tell us a bit of history of dolmens.

Perhaps an expanded version of what you've written would help including your information sources to show quite clearly how you think dooyoo are incorrect in their version of the origins of dolmens.

Although I've rated this 'SU' I'm not really sure how to rate it, if you do add more as I said above then I'm sure this will make very interesting reading and thus attract a higher rating, and I will gladly return to do so if you do that, just let me know.

In the meantime stay, enjoy and good luck!
