Located to the North of Swansea and a few miles South-East of Llandeilo on the A483 lies the impressive Carreg Cennen Castle. As you approach the castle from any of a number of roads it stands out like a ‘sore thumb’ perched up on a hilltop. The Castle dominates the surroundings and gives you a good insight as to the fantastic views that you can expect to have once you reach the Castle. The history of the castle goes back to the 13th Century but there is archaeological evidence that the Romans and the prehistoric people did occupy the craggy hilltop centuries earlier.
