Advantages: Different variety

Disadvantages: Not lively, expensive, poor service

Mnachester China Town is one of the biggest China Towns outside London. It can be easily spotted by looking at the magnificant China arch there. It is located just next to the city centre which I think is very convenient for those who like a taste of oriental food.

There are some good restaurants around including the best chinese restaurant in UK - Manchester Yang Sing. However, the food they are selling in China Town is rather expensive compared to London's one. For example, a plate of dim sum is around 2 - 2.50 pounds and it is just 1.70 - 2.30 in London. Apart from the restaurants, there are also some chinese and Thai sundry shops selling various stuffs ranging from cooking utensils to different cooking sauces and raw food.

Compared to London China Town, this place is not lively at all. Most of the people are either inside the shops or restaurants or just passing by. It's definitely not a good attraction in Manchester!
