Advantages: Wide choice of goods, Bargains in nearly all departments, Clean and bright
Disadvantages: When busy it's hard to navigate freely, Long walk to see it all, One visit is not enough
Before you decide to visit Cornish Market World, be aware that it opens only on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. If travelling to the venue by car you will find two large car parks. The first is the most convenient and will bring you right into the market, the second is a short walk to the venue which doesn?t seem like much, but when you return laden with goods, you?ll wish you parked closer! This market, in terms of a brief overview, is a couple of warehouse units housing many stalls. There are clear pathways between each row of stalls but be warned, if you want to see it all, have some good walking feet. It really is a big market to cover. First time visitors, and even second time, will be forgiven for getting disoriented or lost inside the market. Keep a close eye on your kids. If they wander off you might not meet again for ages! Pathway after pathway, stall after stall, this market is host to many of the usual market stalls you might see in any market, plus a large number of off beat and unusual stalls specializing in everything from mobility bikes for the disabled to a jacuzzi specialist, from cine photography to exotic gifts, From DIY to fish and meat. After walking all around the market you might be in need of a drink or snack, and there are a couple of handy snack bar/cafés to sit down at and ponder your new purchases over a nice cuppa. Outside the market there are a number of large road-show type vans selling meat, towels and materials and finally giftware and household decorative goods. A good bargain can be had here especially on a quiet day when they offer more for less as a kind of loss leader to get others interested. The food vans are well run, modern and offer a range of foods from doughnuts and ice cream to roast pork with apple sauce, stuffing, gravy and chips for a very reasonable price. There are toilet facilities well sign posted.
