Advantages: Real Daleks! Extensive Range of Merchandise!

Disadvantages: Quite Small, High Prices, Can become crowded - maybe even scary for children.

This is basically a permanant exhibition located in the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay (where the Reddragon FM radio show is broadcast from), which used to be called Atlantic Wharf. It costs a good few pounds to gain entry and is unfortunately pretty small, I must forget I have forgotten the exact entrance free, though at the time, I do remember thinking that it was a little bit pricey.

Inside the exhibition, there are real models of all of the famous Dr who monsters, Daleks, Cybermen and lots of the older creatures that I must admit I couldn't tell you the names of these "species". Not only can you observe these alien monsters, but you can even make some of them speak. Next to the daleks is a button, and if you press it, you'll hear "Exterminate!!" and all of the other famous taglines.

The exhibition also contains some famous Dr Who props and even a jacket that was worn by David Tennant to make some of the Dr who episodes.

I think arguably the best part of the exhibition is the shop, which if your a Dr Who fan or collector is fairly extensive. You can buy everything, and whilst the prices are high and there are some incredibly expensive items in display cabinets, there are lots of realtively cheap token souvenirs. I got myself a book and a notepad, though I was tempted to get an actual tardis wardrobe! Sadly, I didn't have the space or the funds.

I think aside from the high prices to get in, and the high prices of the merchandise on sale, this is worth a look. Dr who is perhaps one of the most famous and popular programmes produced in Wales.

Summary: Definately one to visit for the avid fan, lots of other things to do at Atlantic Wharf.

Anything located in something called the Red Dragon centre sounds good to me! Good review.
