Did You Know...? (Dublin Writers Museum)
Member Name: noni
Advantages: good value, highly informative Disadvantages: not for children
I never realised that so many of famous poets, novelists and playwrights actually came from Ireland! Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, James Joyce (Ullyses), Abraham Stoker (Dracula), William Yeats, Jonathan Swift (Gulliver's Travels)... to name but a few. This museum is highly informative and I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in literature and Irish culture. In fact, I would recommend it to anyone at all. Situated near the city centre, a visit to the Dublin Writers museum proves to be pleasant. It is only a small museum, which is actually an advantage. After all how much can one possibly learn and retain about Irish literature? Summary: |
