The Eden Project is Fun & Education for the whole family (Eden Project (Cornwall))

Advantages: Educational, Interactive & Fun Disadvantages: None
I visited the Eden project earlier this year. My first impression on arriving and looking down onto the domes was that it was smaller than I expected. Once I had walked down the hill and was much closer to the domes I realise how big the eden project was and just how huge the domes are. The domes are split into 2 climates, the larger dome is the tropical climate. This is a fantastic experience, I have been in a rain forest and the climate and 'look' is really well created. It is very easy to forget you are in a giant glass dome in cornwall and you could easily be in South America! The smaller dome is a more temperate climate and contains plant life from North America and Europe. The whole experience is very interactive and educational, my 7 year old daughter loved it and I know she would go back again and again if possible. Outside the domes there is plenty to see and do in the gardens, I am not a gardener but I loved learning about the plant & animal life. The Eden project is 'green' for example rain water is collected and used to flush the toilets, in each car park there are banks of recycling bins that will take anything that is recyclable. Summary: A brilliant and full day highly recommended. |
