Advantages: get to see a 'real' rainforest

Disadvantages: expensive for the length of time it takes to see it all

The eden project is a masterpiece of modern botany and is the only place of its like in the country. It's not cheap to gain entry to the place and even then they want more money from you by leaving pots around asking for donations!

The gardens themselves which you walk through first are lovely unleass the weather is bad! but then you get to the domes, each one is has a different theme and is full of plants and insects native to that particular area of the globe. One warning though, take plenty to drink because it gets incredibly hot inside the domes!

Its nice to see some of the fruit trees, there were loads of different banana trees when we went which was interesting!

There is the usual obligatory shop where you can buy books and gifts, souvenirs etc to take away.

It was a nice place to visit and I'm glad I have but I don't think I would go again, young children will be bored to death here.

Summary: You should see this at least once in your life
