I though that the Eden Project was going to be a shining example of how we should all be living in harmony with the planet. How wrong was I! Firstly the 2 parking attendants herd you into the car park. Then you jump on a bus (engine running) and it takes half a dozen people a very short distance to the entrance. Now the admission fee! £16 for an ... Read the complete review

Cornwall can be a long way to go. Unless you live in Cornwall. But I suspect people who live in Cornwall regard it as treachery to travel to the next village - so it could be something of a journey for them too. Once you're in Cornwall head for the bit that's been most ravaged by man and there you'll find the Eden Project. Enter the Eden ... Read the complete review

The UK's eco gem as they would have you think. An example of conservation, of making something out of what was desolate and would have been left, and making it into an example for the future. The Eden Project is a charity, was funded by the lottery and Millenium Collection. Eden is easily accessible, by a connecting bus service from St ... Read the complete review

The Eden Project is probably the most famous man-made attraction in Cornwall. I heard quite a lot about it in recent years and I was very eager to see it for myself this summer, even though I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I knew it was going to be rather expensive, but I was still shocked to discover that standard tickets cost £16 per adult. ... Read the complete review

The eden project is the climax of the eco-friendly-ness. Built in an unused quarry site, houses two bioshperes that create two habitats, one of a dry desert, and the other a tropical rainforest. The rest of the site is used partly as a sort of garden, there is a cafe, and other parts are for sculptures depicting how to stay green ... Read the complete review

The premise of the Eden Project is that it began and continues to be utilised as an experiment. Built in a disused clay pit, which the majority of planners and developers would have considered waste ground, the experiment began to see whether this ground could be revitalised and turned into something special. They certainly achieved that with 9 ... Read the complete review

The Eden Project is a global garden located in St Austell, Cornwall. It was established as one of the Landmark Millennium Projects to mark the year 2000 and has been opened since 2001. I think the main aim and focus of The Eden Project is to develop an area that focuses on sustainability, creating gardens that can teach and educate and ... Read the complete review

One of the most successful Millenium projects in the country, The Eden Project is an attraction not to be missed if you are looking for a way of helping the environment while at the same time having a good time. You can even cycle there if you really want to show your green credentials. If you don't fancy that, go by car, train or bus. ... Read the complete review

Having now visited the Eden Project twice I thought I would write a review. We first visited 6 years ago and then again two weeks ago. You approach the Eden Project from quite high up and follow the road down to the first car park that has spaces. Parking is free as is the bus that runs regulary between the car parks and the main ... Read the complete review

On the way to eden project it was well sign posted. As you arrive you park in an enormous car park. It's that big they provide you with a free bus to get to the entrance (try to remember which colour car park you are in when you arrive as you will need it on the way back). At the entrance you go through sort of ticket gates to get into the place. ... Read the complete review

I visited the Eden project earlier this year, staying close by at the Victoria Inn, which was ideally suited for our stay and quite close to get to by car. The Eden project is situated at Bodelva near St Austell, and was the idea of Tim Smit. I must admit that the Eden project is not for everybody's taste I think it's a place you either love or ... Ever since it was built in 2001 both my husband and I have had a fascination with the Eden Project but it was only last week during our holiday in Cornwall that we finally managed to visit! Most people will be familiar with the images of things that look a bit like huge plastic golf balls appearing out of the ground - and it was great to go and ... Read the complete review

I cannot emphasize enough how over-rated the Eden Project is. Honestly. It is pants! If it was free then I would probably say otherwise and it would be worth popping for an hour ever now and again if you are in the area but it is £15 for a adult which is way way over the top. For that, you get to walk around a couple of ... Read the complete review

I visited Cornwall a few months ago for a short break, which we used as a chance to relax and visit places we had always wanted to. One of the places we choose to visit was the Eden Project, and what a let down. The eden project is a masterpiece of modern botany and is the only place of its like in the country. It's not cheap to gain entry to the place and even then they want more money from you by leaving pots around asking for donations! The gardens themselves which you walk through first are lovely unleass the weather is bad! but then you ... Read the complete review

I visited the Eden project earlier this year. My first impression on arriving and looking down onto the domes was that it was smaller than I expected. Once I had walked down the hill and was much closer to the domes I realise how big the eden project was and just how huge the domes are. The domes are split into 2 climates, the larger dome is ... My Dad had to go to a conference at the Eden Project regarding sustainable housing. As he is disabled he needs a carer to go places with him in case he is ill or gets into some form of trouble. Normally his wife goes but as she was in hospital I got to go. (It put me in a bit of a difficult situation really as I was really chuffed to be going but ... Read the complete review

The Eden Project opened in Cornwall in early 2001 and has established itself as a very popular tourist attraction, with over 1.2 million admissions per year, well in excess of initial expectations. The Eden Project has oft been touted as one of the new wonders of the modern world. Five years on from its opening in 2001, does it live up to this claim? Situated in picturesque Cornwall, not far from St Austell, The Eden Project has regenerated an old mining area and replaced an open china clay pit with three huge “biomes”, two of ... The first time I went to the Eden project I wasn’t sure what to expect – there had been a lot of hype about it and wasn’t sure if it would live up to my expectations. When we arrived there we looked for car parking space, there are plenty of car parks but some of them are quite a walk to the main site itself, however there are shuttle busses ...
