Fell Foot Park and GardenNewest Review: ... the lake, take the little ferry over to Lakeside ( about a five minute sail), there is ample space to enjoy a game of football, cricket etc and the children's play ground is one of the best I have seen. Yesterday we made one of our regular visits to a favourite place of ours - Fell Foot Park and Gardens on the edge of the lovely Lake Windermere. We are lucky enough to live close enough to make this a regular place to visit, especially when our grandchildren are visiting. ~WHAT IS IT~ Fell Foot Park and Garden is owned by the National Trust. There was once a house in the grounds but that has long gone, the boat houses on the lake are all that remains of the old house. The National Trust have restored the gardens back to their Victorian beauty, with eighteen acre grounds full of rhododendrons, oaks and pines. Situated on Lake ... Read the complete review

Fell foot park in the lake district is owned and kept by the great people of the National trust. It is situated on the A592 between Bowness-on-windermere and Newby Bridge. The entrance to the park is a one way system and is controlled by speed humps into the pay and display car park, which has an overflow car park toward the exit of the park. Parking cost is between £2.50 for 2 hours and £6 per day. When you exit your car, and have placed your ticket on the window, you then walk down a steady slope, stoned pathway, down towards the western part of Lake Windermere, passing some of the most stunning colourful floral displays I have seen in a long ...
