The stage is set so that it is easily visible and you feel close to the action. Additional benefit is the inclusion of a subtitle screen set just above the stage and a flick of the eyes upwards enables you to figure out what is happening. Not needed if you are fluent in Italian or whatever language the performance is in, but a good addition for others who are linguistically impaired. Not strictly in Brighton but if you are in the area and like opera or clasical music it's worth a look. It has a range of performances running at various times throughout the year and information is available on their website (www.glyndebourne.com).
