Advantages: Lots of rides, Wristbands are cheap

Disadvantages: None

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is situated at the north end of the seafront. Then entrance is free, but there are 2 options of payment for getting on the rides.

These payments are:
A) By tokens. Tokens cost 50p each, and rides cost from 1 to 4 tokens per ride. The most expensive ride is the wooden Roller Coaster, which is 4 tokens. The cheapest rides are the kiddies rides, like the Formula One, Drag Cars etc.

B) The second method of payment is by wristband. This entitles the bearer to unlimited rides all day from opening time to closing time as many times as they like! Wristbands cost £9 per person. This, I think, is the best value around!

There are over 70 different rides and attractions to choose from. These range from gentle rides like the Yo-Yo, Ghost Train, Giant Slide, Drag Cars, Big Apple and the Fun House. For the more daring, there is the Roller Coaster, Log Flume, Dodgems, the Mulan, and the Terminator, Waltzers and Ejector Seat. The Ejector Seat has been running for nearly 2 years. This is a ride that catapaults you into the air at a speed of 70 miles an hour! It's like a bunjee jump in reverse! A new ride which will be opening on 24 June 2001 is called 'Devils Drop'. It's like, where 3 people lay down, and go shooting through the air on a rope! I haven't actually seen it in motion yet, so will update this opinion once I've seen it!

The Pleasure Beach also owns Nelson Gardens, where the Ejector Seat and Devils Drop is situated, and also a crazy gold course, Sara's Tea Cafe, and other food outlets.

All the usual stuff like candy floss and toffee apples can be bought here. It makes a fun day out for the whole family. If you decide you want to just visit for an hour or so, then buy tokens, or for the whole day, buy a wristband. Whatever you decide to do, you will most certainly have a fun day out! The Pleasure Beach logo is 'Go For the Fun of It!'. And wh
y not?!
