Member Name: samlamont
Advantages: Good Value Disadvantages: None
Lagan Lookout is owned by the Laganside Corporation and is open to the public each day from 9am to 4 pm, it consists of a display of the making of the Lagan weir which has helped in the rejuvenation of the river Lagan, the lookout is situated on the seaward side of the Queen Elizabeth bridge over the Lagan. Visitors can also watch a short video, which gives a guided tour of the Belfast Harbour area and the Docks from its inception to date. Situated in the car park of the Lookout is the terminus for the Lagan boat trips, which take place Monday to Saturday at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. The trip lasts one hour and is in an open sided boat from the Lookout up the Lagan to Cutters Warf at Stranmillis. During the outward trip a guide provides a history of the area as you travel serenely along the River Lagan watching the buildings and birds glide past. These attractions are both well worth a visit.
