Advantages: Great Fun
Disadvantages: Queues are long and it is expensive
Last Saturday we were wondering what to do with our daughter for the day and then relised that we had two free tickets to Legoland Windsor and as my daughter is under 3 she costs us nothing so we jumped in the car and in 40 mins were there looking for a place to park which we did eventually find. COST If we did not have free tickets it would have cost us each £19 to get in and children over 3 are £16 each which is rather steep but it seemed to be busy enough for people not to care to much. RIDES There are lot's of rides here but all had at least a 30 min wait and some even longer we queued for the Carousel but avoided rides from there on but would have had we longer gone on a few more rides included Lego Racers,Log Ride,Balloons,Briccircus,Adventurers Cavern. LAYOUT The park was enormous and split into little areas such as My Town which had the Circus and Water Show and a hand full of rides and also various places to eat all with a theme. The Castle was great and you could walk around the turrets and buy lots of shields and swords and capes to dress up for the part but again quite expensive at £6 a shield £5 a cape £6 a sword. There was a ride which seemed very popular but the queue was huge so we skipped it. The enchanted forest was lovely and had hidden in the trees and logs loads of very well made lego animals all with sounds. The Mazas were excellent you walked from one maze to the next and all contained a different theme such as nautical, medivel etc. These were my favorite areas but you also have littletown which is the minute villages and towns made of lego. PLAYPARK This was mine and my daughters favorite I was aloud to go in with her and it is just a huge fun house containing loads of obsticles and net runs, slides, swing ropes, poles etc and was real fun. FOOD Food again is very expensive with drinks at £1.50 and Hotdogs at £1.99 childrens and adul
ts meals are available in the restaurants but are also pricey and when we got my daughter a kids meal that was supposed to contain a toy they apoligised and said no toys in them today which I find a bit odd seeing as the price had not dropped and they surely could have got some from the shop. SHOPS Legoland is really one big advert and in every zone you will find a shop that sells Lego related to that area and at quite expensive prices. There is a big lego shop that is at the exit and this is the best one to visit for your take away toys as it has a better range. TOILETS There are toilets all over the park and plenty of facilitys for the disabled or babies. STAFF The staff were always very happy even if put on and were very proffesional and safty aware you felt safe and were never concerned with their safety because you saw the staff carry out checks to ensure all were safe before starting. Parents are also welcome to travel on all rides with their little ones or on their own. Overall we had a brilliant day all be it for a bit of a hangover at the beginning but my daughter loved it and I must admit so did we like I said a bit expensive and a pain to park if you get there to late but well worth the visit. I would say that to see and go on all of the park you would defiantly need a two day pass but one day is enough to just have fun. I have also noticed that the Mirror newspaper is doing a two for one deal with Legoland today so if you have it cut it out it will save you at least £16. Hope this is useful to somebody.
