Advantages: Fun, Thrilling, Exciting, Two rides

Disadvantages: Quite expensive, One ride wasn´t working when I went...

The London Dungeon is a fantastic attraction for all ages. It can be seen as somewhat educational, but it is more fun than anything. As soon as you enter, it is pretty dark. You go through an atmospheric room to set the atmosphere before beginning your tour. You must book tickets in advance to get definite entrance as it can get quite busy. Here are some ticket prices on a Saturday:

Adults (18+): £20.95
Children (5-14): £15.95
Students (15-17): £18.95
OAPs: £18.95

The prices aren´t cheap, but it is a worthwhile experience and quite fun. The tour lasts around 2 hours depending on what rides are working... You start off in a room full of mirrors, which is very dark with only some lighting. You walk through as a group of around 20 people trying to find the way out. It can be very confusing and I wouldn´t like to get lost in there! There are many more rooms with actors giving you a bit of insight into what London was like many years ago. Everything is based around torture and pain.

There are a couple of rides too. One of them is some kind of boat ride, but this was closed when I went, although we still had to pay full price! The ride we did go on was the hanging one. You sit in a seat in a room and you are lifted up as a group with your feet dangling until you see the noose. After a somewhat scary man speaks, you drop ´to your death´although all you´re doing is dropping back to ground level. It isn´t a high drop at all but is a thrill. Overall, it is a fun attraction and worth doing once if you are visiting London!

Thanks for reading,

Carbon

Summary: A good attraction to visit once if you are in London

Even for London that sounds a tad expensive. Are there any discounts available for family tickets - I mean £50 for an adult and two kids !!!
