Disadvantages: Quite high up - not for those afraid of hights

The London Eye is commonly referred to as the Millennium Wheel and is situated in Central London near Westminster and Waterloo. The London Eye is a major tourist attraction and is easily recognisable in many many parts of London, standing taller than most buildings. It consists of 32 air-conditioned capsules and is approximately 135 metres tall in height. Each capsule holds around 24 people. The London Eye is one of the tallest ferris wheels in the World, and usually takes around 30 minutes to do a complete rotation.
After recently experiencing this fantastic landmark, I must say that it is truly something worth trying whilst in London. It overlooks many other landmarks, ie: Houses of Parliament, St Pauls Cathedral, and at the peak, it reaches the approximate height of Big Ben. I can definitely recommend this and I will also most probably be doing this again!
You can get some great deals for the London Eye, ie: Transport for London (TfL) offer loads of special offers, one of which currently being the London Eye.
The London Eye is also a recognisable point of marriage and is an authorised venue.
Give it a try if you haven't been, it is great fun.
