My boyfriend and I went on the London Eye during a trip to London over Christmas. I had never been on before and was a little dubious about the height! The best way we found to get there was Underground to Westminster then a nice walk over the river to where the Eye was. It's impossible to miss so there can be no problems finding it!

When we got there there was no queue which was a nice bonus. We hadn't booked in advance but buying tickets on the day was quick and easy. We got straight on and were in a pod with a few other people. The ride lasted for around half an hour. The views were good, although it was a slightly rainy and cloudy day, and you would be better to pick a sunny day if possible!

Although I enjoyed the Eye it was probably quite overpriced and must make a fortune. It wasn't the most exciting thing, and after a while is a bit boring but the views are good and it's a good way to get nice photos.

Summary: A bit overpriced but OK
