Longleat Safari ParkNewest Review: ... annoying. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive around the park and especially driving through the tiger and lion enclosures and getting really close to them. It was good to see that the park does have a conservation role and that the animals have plenty of space to roam, though the two bird aviaries housing flamingos and ibis were huge but I still don't really like seeing birds in captivity. Longleat is more than just a safari park, I've just spent two days with my family there and needed that amount of time to see just about everything. It is situated in Wiltshire near to Warminster and Frome, and is a great place to visit. Longleat belongs to the Marquess of Bath and visitors can see the house, the Safari Park, maze and a number of other attractions. Full details of opening times and current prices can be found at www.longleat.co.uk. For 2009 a passport ticket allowing you to visit all of the attractions once at any time of the season was £23 for adults and £15 for children, though buying the passport through Tesco clubcard ... I am afraid this is going to be a VERY long review. There is just so much to cover and I am sure I will have more I wanted to say on top of it all! I am going to go through all the different attractions there are packed into this fantastic place one by one and try and make it so that if there is one part you are more interested in than the others then you can then just read that section (BUT PLEASE READ ABOUT THE PASSPORT TICKET DO NOT JUST LOOK AT THE INDIVIDUAL PRICES, A PASSPORT WORKS OUT A LOT CHEAPER! This information is towards the end of this review). Longleat has been a huge attraction in the south west of England since the house was opened to ... Read the complete review

Longleat House and Safari Park is one of the best known stately homes open to the public, it has been hugely popular for years and last month I visited with my girlfriend for the very first time. I had visited Windsor Safari park as a kid but couldn't remember much about it hence I was not knowing what to expect ! ~How to get there~ Longleat is situated a few miles from Warminster, Wiltshire, just off the A303 and A36. Bath, Bristol and Salisbury are large cities nearby so it could be worth incorporating your visit to other places. It is very well signposted and very difficult not to find if you havn't visited the area before. ~Opening ... Read the complete review

A truly interesting & pleasurable day out for young & old. We took our grandson's yesterday & although it cost £52.00 to get in it was well worth it. Just as well because Mike was gob smacked & kept feeling his back pocket as it was considerably lighter! With the Passport Ticket, you can enjoy all 12 amazing attractions at one superb price! Not only does it save you over 61% off the combined individual attractions? admission prices but it is also valid throughout that season? you can come back and enjoy the magic of Longleat as often as you like, although each attraction can be visited once only during the 2004 season (27th March to the 31st October 2004). ... I and I think many people will agree with me here think that the best place to view animals is in a safari park. Although its not as good as the animals being in their natural habitat its better than them being cooped up in zoos. also it provides us less fortunate folks who can't afford safari holidays to see exotic animals without the guilt of seeing them couped up in cages. ~~~ Location~~~ "Longleat Safari Park" is located in the south west of Britain. Its inbetween Bath and Sailsbury. As I can be quite dim sometimes i've forgotten what county it's in but I hope i've given you some idea where it is. Longleat house is set in 900 ...
