Advantages: Can have pics taken with your fav celebs!
Disadvantages: Sheer number of people they allow in at once, surley it would be better to allocate visiting times?!
Somewhere I have wanted to go for a long time, but was slightly disappointed by the experience. Although this was partly due to the time of year I visited; middle of August. The queue to get inside was fairly long but did move quickly. Once inside you go up on a lift which you are literally herded into by the staff. The feeling of being like cattle did not pass once out of the lift. You go straight into the a listers room / best of british and on the ramp down people are pushing and queue jumping as if the wax figures were actually the celebrities themselves!
Went with children aged 9 and 10 who found the few hours we spent there more distressing than enjoyable. When taking pictures with the wax models people were walking infront of the camera and standing infront of the children. In my opinion this was because the sheer volume of customers they were letting into the venue was far to great for the space inside.
We did manage to get some nice snaps and I did like the option of getting a picture taken by a member of staff, although slightly over priced at £7 per picture which came in a Madame Tussauds folder.
We would have quite liked to try the Big Brother diary room chair dvd but the queue once again was just far too long.
The taxi ride around old London was a nice touch and one we all enjoyed. The scary section which has an option of the none scary route vs the live actors very scary section was informative as to how M.T's all began.
The admission price is very steep for the fact that you can not really spend more than 90mins to 2 hours there. Once you have gone round there was no option to go round again which considering the price would have been nice.
If I was to ever go again it would not be in the main school holidays as although the attraction itself was nice, the number of people pushing and walking into you ruined it.
Summary: Worth a visit but would not go in August again!
