In April I took a trip down to London and bought myself a VIP ticket to go to Madame Tussauds. I was so excited, I could hardly wait...

Tickets:
Tickets cost from £12 to £40, depending on what you want. The cheaper the ticket, the less value they have. A £12 will get you an entry for a specific period. However a £40 ticket is VIP, and this gives you access without having to queue for hours! You also get a free brochure and a free hand made of wax! I went for this option as for a first time visitor I wanted the ultimite experience!

Location:
Madame Tussauds is located in Marlebone, London and is very easily accessible, if you catch the tube to Baker Street. It is just a few yards away from the station so you do not have to travel far, and there are markets near by too to amuse you.

Queueing:
Madame Tussauds is a top attraction and naturally there are going to be huge queues! I went in th Easter holidays and the queue stretched right up the street. Thankfully I had my VIP ticket so I had towait around ten minutes and then I was let in the first door. The others had to go further down, which would have taken another hour possibly, so I was thrilled to go VIP!

Exhibits:
Inside there are various exhibits, from movie stars and Shrek, to historical figures and sporting legends. There was even a Barack Obama waxwork, and I cannot imagine him posing for htat! My favourites were Posh and Becks, MOrgan Freeman and Whoopie Goldberg. But all the figures looked realistic, so it was a fantastic experience!

Interaction:
Its not all still figures! There is a Big Brother diary room where you go in and are actually spoken to by 'Big Brother'. This was amazing, and the Davina waxwork was so cool! There is a tour where you walk throguh 'old streets of london' and there are mass murders (actors) about and they literlay snarl in your face, I was terrified! Then there is a taxi ride where you sit in a taxi car and are taken on a slow rollercoaster style tour of 'Best of Britain'. There was a waxwork of Barbara Windsor, who is truly amazing!

Madame Tussauds is open almost every day of the year, and is definitely owrth visiting (for the gift shop alone!). It is easily accessible and prices start quite cheap. It is defintely worth it, whether you live in London or are just visiting.
