Advantages: Ermm

Disadvantages: Queues, poor quality of waxworks,

I guess when you go to London Tussauds is one of the 'must do' things on anyones list. My girlfriend was determined we should go and I went along happily, in hindsight I wish I'd not bothered.

First of all, get there early! The queues are a nightmare, we got there about 11am and were queuing almost two hours just to get in. It's a long, boring and winding line you have to wait to get to the cash tills and by the time you get there you're already wanting to go home. Saying that it's not really fair to judge a place how busy it gets right? No, ok so I thought I'll at least wait until we get inside befor making judgements.

As you walk in you're escorted into a lift to the halls and the excitement starts to kick in a bit. This feels special...the doors open and....Oh. A big room full of people with cameras and a selection of waxwork models that occasionaly show a resemblence to famous people.

Perhaps I'm unrealistic but I expected more from Tussauds. The number of actual waxworks was disappointing and probably needs updating rather drastically. Zac Effron and Miley Cyrus were the new ones when I went and whilst Zac looked lifelike, Miley bore no resemblence whatsoever. The theme of dodgy models continues with Wayne Rooney looking more like Jimmy Krankey!

The Hall of Horrors is interesting with a selection of torture devices on the wall but the actual walk through is hardly pant wetting. A few actors running about pretending to be insane isn't ground breaking to say the least.

The price is far too steep in my eyes too. Luckily we had a Buy One Get One Free offer and overall the cost was fair value in London for a few hours, had we paid full whack I would have felt robbed.

Summary: I wouldn't bother going in all honesty
