Somewhere I have wanted to go for a long time, but was slightly disappointed by the experience. Although this was partly due to the time of year I visited; middle of August. The queue to get inside was fairly long but did move quickly. Once inside you go up on a lift which you are literally herded into by the staff. The feeling of being like ...

Complete waste of time and money, waited well over an hour to get in only to find just 3 people serving...on a Saturday aswell!! Was asked if we wanted to pay and extra £3 p/p to watch the live show in the chamber of horrors which we declined..was told inside by staff 'dont worry we let anyone in even if they havn't paid' totally unfair if ...

Madame Tussauds??? I never normally right reviews on things, but this.....this I feel strongly about. My self and partner visited on a Saturday to be greeted by almost an hour of queing......it does help though to build the suspense. Once inside.....dyer is what it can only be described as. The first room is pandemonium as a 'free for ...

After waiting an hour to get in, and paying £106 for the privilege (2 adults and 3 kids) we were vastly underwhelmed by the whole attraction. I was always aware of its world class status so decided to treat the kids. However, as many of the reviews say, we walked around all the exhibits, stopping and taking photographs of almost every ...

I took my two tweenagers to Madame Tussauds during the Easter break and they absolutely loved it. As the adult footing the bill, however, I have a few words of wisdom to pass on. My number one piece of advice would be to book your tickets online. This gives you a fast-track entry so you can just show up and join a short queue for ...

The website tended to put me off with too much mystery about what to expect, threats of long queues, unclear pricing and pressure to book a timed arrival slot. Waxworks were generally excellent, with some exceptions such as Elvis. The ability to get up close and take photos of one another with the stars was great. ...

What an absolute rip off.
Hideously expensive. £108 for 2 adults and 3 children. We queued up longer than the time we spent in there. After 2 hours to get in, the waxworks were dreadful. Maybe 5 or 6 looked realistic.
Biggest shocker was what used to be the planetarium. Pathetic is too good a description.
Geared for tourists and to rip off tourists.
I've put one star because I could not put none!!!

A visit to Taussauds is not a cheap day out and even with the fact that we had used Tesco Clubcard vouchers to reduce the price of entry by the time you factor in the cost of travel to London, food and other sundry expenses the pair of us had still spent close to £100 and to be honest there is only about three hours of entertainment value to be ...

I am 69 yrs old and took my husband (72 YRS) and son (42 yrs) and three grandchildren, aged 12, 10 and 8 yrs. Not one of us enjoyed the experience. It was overcrowded, and children had little or no chance of getting anywhere near the front to see favourite stars. Some waxworks were good, but few and far between. Some were terrible and did ...

I first encountered Madame Tussauds Waxwork in London when I was working as a tourist guide many moons ago and had the good fortune (or rather misfortune) to take groups of tourists to this attraction. It's fun the first couple of times but then you start to resent the place with a passion. Luckily the job only lasted a few years but it left me ...

This Popular wax work museum all started with a woman called Marie du Barry who spent most her life making death masks, this gruesome task involved Marie rooting through corpses to find there severed heads and make a cast of it she then went on to showcase her skill in a museum showing celebrities of her day to those who would never see them ...

Luckily for me, I went to Madame Tussauds, when everyone was at work or school. I strongly reccommend this as it only takes about twenty minutes to queue. I had always been put of on going to Madame Tussauds as it was so expensive. However, I had got one free ticket so I was less concerned about the cost. You start the trip ...

It would not be a school holiday if at some point I did not agree to put money into the pockets of the Madame Taussauds group and so yesterday we headed off for the ankle biters first ever visit to the waxworks. I had vague memories of visiting the place many years ago with an American girlfriend who shouted with glee in best JAP (Jewish American ...

Madame tussauds is worth a visit for some of its wax models that have amazing likeness to real celebrities. However, the one in London also has a so called attraction called Chamber live. I had a very bad experience which marred the entire trip to MT. One of the actors at the entrance jumped up at me and brought his face 1/2 inches to mine. It ...

A few weeks ago on my first adventure into London in a few years we decided that a trip to Madame Tussauds was in order. It had proved to be a day where we couldn’t decide what to do. Having been at the Dungeons earlier in the day we were going to go to The Millennium Eye. Due to a low cloud covering over London we decided it’d be a waste of money ...

Located just a short walk from Baker Street Tube Station in the heart of London, Madame Tussaud’s is one of London’s more quirky and renowned tourist attractions and is not to be confused with some of the more adult entertainments available in nearby Soho... Admittedly, Saturday afternoon is not the best time to visit any busy ...

During a day trip to London recently I came across the well known 'Madame Tussauds' along Marylebone Road. Madame Tussauds is a popular tourist attraction in London and I had never visited it. I was with my Dad and sisters and they too seemed quite interested in the attraction so we all visited... WHAT IS MADAME TUSSAUDS? ...

I have just had a lovely trip to London for my anniversary, and the main object of the trip was to be taken round as many attractions as possible by my lovely boyfriend, since I hadn't seen ANY previously. To be honest, Madame Tussauds was not first on the list, since I thought there would be loads of tourists queuing for hours to get ...
