While in Caernarfon last month my family and I spotted a small hut perched on the dockside with the sign 'Menai Strait Cruises', further inspection revealed that we could go on a 40 minute boat trip along the Menai Strait and the best bit was that the boat was due to leave in less than five minutes so we hopped straight on board. Prices are extremely reasonable at £5 for adults and £3.50 for children, under three's go free so that was one in our party who didn't have to pay!
