Who'd of thought it, at long last the Millenium Dome has been put to a good use!
I must admit to being a little sceptical when I bought tickets to go there but the whole venue just blew me away.
We went to the O2 to see Take That in December 07 and it was probably one of the best nights of my life. Of course, who you are going to see is vital to the impression the venue leaves on you but everything has to be right.
We travelled to London early in the day and were staying at the Hilton at Canary Wharf, just down the river a little. Our first thrill was that instead of using buses, trains or taxis for our journey there is a river bus that stops at the hilton and the O2 so this started our evening off fabulously.
On approaching the O2 from the river it looked amazing all lit up. The walk from the river bus to the entrance is short, well lit and well paved. There was a lot of us but it was never overpowering. On entering the O2 our jaws dropped, the variety of restaurant was amazing and is not well enough advertised as I had no idea pre getting there that all of this was available. There are restaurants to suits everybody taste, english, italian, mexican the list is endless. It is a bit of a trek to get round to the arena entrance, when we went there was an ice rink as well! The attendents helped us find our seats and were really friendly, snacks and drinks are pricy but they are at any venue. We were about 3/4 the way back on the floor and the view to the main stage was good and the big screens produced good quality pictures for a closer look. When the concert ended there was a good flow of people leaving but this is well organised. There seemed to be hundreds of us walking down to the river bus but the waiting area is all under cover and there were plenty of staff to organise everybody and make sure the end of the night was plain sailing!!

Summary: Will go back
