Advantages: Huge capacity, restaurants, bars, cinema, quick access form the train

Disadvantages: lack of cash machines

We visited the o2 arena very recently to watch Lee Evans perform live.

I visited the arena as a child which was formelly the Millenium dome, and it really didn't impress me. I couldn't bleieve what a transformation had been made to the arena.

As you walk in, you are instantly taken back by the beatuty of the architecture. O2 have done a great job incorporating their branding into the dome, and the 'blue' really works well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the huge crowds moved so quickly.

What I was suprised to find was that the arena was not just the venue, it had restaurants, cinema and all sorts!

Problems:

It was a bit of a nightmare getting to the dome, though, looking back, the underground would have been a sensible option. Had only been to London as a child so was not familiar with it. The traffic was queued back to the tunnel, where we got out and walked the rest.

The only other issue we had was that the cash machines all packed up! We had to walk a mile to get cash for a taxi back to the hotel!


Lee evans was hillarious by the way :)

Summary: Great day out, make sure you take cash though!
