Advantages: An Unmissable Experience
Disadvantages: Too Expensive
The Millennium Dome has been so heavily critised by critics and the media, that its ability to be promoted as anything other that a disaster is imminent. However given all of the negativity surrounding the millenium experience, I decided to give it a visit myself.
The Millenium Dome was designed to give a summary of our success as individuals working together leading up to the year 2000. This is what it was meant to do, and this is also what it does in a fantastic and entertaining way. Everything from the 'Work' exhibition, which illustrates the efforts and progress of individuals to produce teams, as well as the negative aspects of work, to the space exploration trip around our planet, showing how the earth was formed and how human life began. However, the most amazing aspect has to be the Millennium Show, which makes the entrance fee all worth while! The show is a spectular combination of acrobatics, dance and engineering that perform a story of love and life, featuring music by Peter Gabriel. The way by which the central stage opens up and expands also helps to create a 'magical' atmosphere.
The dome as a whole cannot be described in words, it is definatly worth a visit before it dissappears next year, so dont wait for it to be too late!!
