Advantages: Has embarrassed the Government

Disadvantages: Too many to mention.

I am disgusted at the amount of money that has been poured into the Dome, especially when it is obvious that not many people really want to go. I would imagine one of the largest percentages of money earned will come from school visits, at which time the children will probably have a fairly good time. In the long term though, this money could have been far better spent on hospitals, schools and other important services. I for one would have been far happier for each school in this country to have received a Millennium donation which could have been spent on something to mark the occasion and to improve conditions and reduce class sizes.

And what about the NHS? That could do with a few bob. An improved transport system? That would be remembered for a while. But no, we get a massive tent in the middle of the Docklands, well known for being in the heart of the country.

Makes me sick!
