Carrickfergus Castle (Northern Ireland) ... won an hour-long battle. Leading to the American War of Independence that saw America cut its ties from the British Empire. The castle became a place for Prisoners of War during the Napoleonic Wars and became a heavily fortified jail. For a further century it remained an armoury. Like many big building during the great war, Carrickfergus castle was used as a garrison and during the second world war Carrickfergus Castle offered shelter from air raids to the people of this town. In 1928 its ownership was transferred to the government for preservation as an ancient monument and it has been open to the public for many years, being closed for important refurbishments, of ... Stormont Government Buildings ... Mowlem, former secretary of state to Northern Ireland. The park offers an array of attractions including a slide, swings and adventure assault course. The park is set in the wood and is not too far from the main entrance. Dog walkers are not discouraged but advised to keep dogs on a lead and obviously any dog caught fouling the grasslands will be punished unless the mess is cleared up! So please do because it would be a crime if this beautiful park was spoiled by some unreasonable and selfish dog walkers. Dublin Ghost Tours ... entertainment also. He picked on at least everyone at one point and asked where everyone was from so there were quite a variety of nations. He popped up behind us all several times and a few squeals were had. So the tour begins and we moved away what he does is he tells the driver to stop at different places such as over bridges etc and then he tells a story of something that happened there many years ago. Some people are told to open their curtains so we can see but then also he tells stupid stories which we believe until he says something ludicrous and we know it isn’t true.
