Carrickfergus Castle (Northern Ireland) ... is built on frequently. Carrickfergus is a very picturesque castle, one of the most in Ireland, and is the main feature in the town. Anybody traveling through Carrickfergus will not be able to miss the castle as it is situated on the Shore Road that leads to Larne. Castle is very large and is often features on promotional material of Northern Ireland. for example place mats, post cards and in numerous literature on the great county of Antrim. Carrickfergus Castle was built by John de Courcy in 1177 as his headquarters, after he had conquered the eastern quarter of Ulster, and ruled as a minor king until 1204, when he was ousted by another Norman leader, Hugh de Lac... Stormont Government Buildings ... a cold, yet sunny, say i traveled to Stormont for a walk that I found in The Belfast Telegraph to carry out. Having never been to Stormont before I wasn t quite sure what i was letting myself in for. Stormont is Northern Ireland s political equivalent to the Houses of West minster. Stormont is the seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly, currently headed by Rev. Ian Paisley, of the DUP, and his deputy Martin McGuinness of Sinn Fein. The Parliament Buildings are known as Stormont because of there location in the Stormont area of Belfast. Dublin Ghost Tours ... will be the last of my reviews on Dublin as I am sure you are all sick of hearing about my visit. Anyway, while in Dublin yes it’s nice to see older historical buildings but sometimes it is nice for a different type of attraction. In my hotel there was a leaflet on Dublin Sightseeing Tours, now, I am not really one for sitting on an open top bus while being driven about town but as I turned the page the bright yellow text reading Dublin Ghost Bus Tour caught my eye. It sounded like something different yet interesting and also I am very interested in ghosts and scary stories I suppose with all of these haunting and psychic shows.
