Advantages: so much fun and loads to do

Disadvantages: costly

Playzone had a revamp couple of years ago and along with the revamp came a new name, 'Jump'. It's the largest indoor play centre in the Westcountry and can provide hours of fun for your hyper active children.

A couple of weeks ago my two year old was invited to a party here. I haven't been since it's had a makeover so was quite excited to see if how much better it was or not.

When we got there we were greeted by a couple of staff members who looked like they had better things to do with their time and I'm afraid to say this was the case with every staff member I came into contact with. They were very young and you could tell they had absolutely no enthusiasm for the job whatsoever. Even the boy who ran the party had a very 'bare minimum' attitude towards everything and didn't really interact with the children much.

The place itself is brillient. The main attraction is the soft play area which is full of ball pools, tampalines and things to crawl in, out and around. Theres huge balls to play with and a big slide. It's all bright and colourful and you can just let the kids go in and have a fun time whilst you relax and have a brew.

There is an area at the back of the warehouse that is for babies and toddlers. I didn't go in there but had a look and there were minature ballpits and little rockers and things. The babies that were in there looked like they were having a whale of a time.

Just across from the baby area is a couple of tables with drawing and messy play on it just incase your child wants a break from all the running around.

My son absolutely loved the place but I did find that he was a tad too small to go into it by himself so made sure I was around. (I would imagine if it was really packed then he would get banged around a bit) This was great because I got to be a kid and have a go on everything too. The slide was brill! I also had so much fun on the trampeline. I havent been on one of those for years!

The party was ok although I don't think I would pay the £12 a head for it. My friend informed me that you also have to pay for a minimum of ten children. Most of the food was junk food (which is always the case at a party) but I was pleased to see things like cucumber and carrot sticks on the plates too. My friend also informed me tat they have five rooms which are all themed and you can choose which one you'd like your child to have ou party in. The kids played party games and at the end they got a little party bag.

If you go just to entertain your children for a few hours then the costs are as follows:
Babies-£1.00
1-3yrs-£5.25
4-12yrs-£6.25
adults-£1.60
I think this is pretty expensive especially if you have a family because you only get 90minutes in the actual play area so its not like a family day out or anything.

The place also run parties for adults. If you have a hen do r stag do coming up then this would be a right laugh especially if you've had a few drinks before going. Maybe thats what I'll do for my 30th!

Over all a good experience for a special occasion but an expensive trip out for the whole family.

Summary: A great place for the parents to chat and the kids to run wild.

Might be useful if you could include the direction and schedules of opening.
