Disadvantages: Bit of a distance to travel

Garden Centres?? Not much use you may think unless you have a garden well here is one that has garden supplies and PLENTY more.

Stapely Water Gardens is located on London Road, Stapeley, Nantwich, Cheshire and is easily accessible.

Upon arrival at Stapeley Water Gardens, after finding a car parking space in the vast car park I decided to pay a visit to The Palms Tropical Oasis which charges admission.

Currently:-
Adults GBP4.45
Children GBP2.60
Senior Citizen GBP3.95
Family Tickets from GBP12.20

The Palms starts with the Zoo Room, which contains Snakes, Spiders, Cockroaches, among other werid and wonderful creatures from around the world and leads onto The World Of Frogs and Special Exhibitions, this was crazy there were so many different frogs to see and one in particular just lay motionless in the water and claims to be their main feature. Next you visit the Tropical Jungle this is very humid and contains piranhas and a wide variety of other fish in an open top tank with the warning, "These fish can bite" definately one to keep your hands away from. The doors have to remain closed as it is a climate protected environement.

After moving on to the Koi pool which is surrounded by benches for you to relax and take in the great colours of the large selection of Koi and the fantastic colours of the fountain before moving on to view Toucans, Macaws, Sharks, Stingrays and then moving to the Tunnel of Underwater Life which has a variety of tropical and saltwater fish and seaturtles where you can view some fantastically unsusual fish.

This then finally leads onto the Italian Garden Restaurant and the Italian Garden which was closed at the time for a wedding reception but looked amazing as it had been prepared for the reception and you could hear the music flowing through The Palms it did seem like the perfect setting for a wedding on a beautiful day.

Then you can cross over to the main entrance of the Garden Centre which of course is free.
As you enter the garden centre you turn left and walk through the Outdoor Centre which ironically is indoors it just contains all the staple goods required for outdoor activities from Clothing, Camping Accessories, Footwear and Cooking Utensils just recently 5-8 August there was a tent exhibition offering an eaven broader range of outdoor equipment for the keen camper.
Visit www.stapeleywatergardens.com for future events.

Once you exit theoutdoor centre you come to the aquarium products to the left are outdoor fish and outdoor pond supplies. Straight ahead are the aquariums, supplies and live fish.
To the right is the larger part of the garden centre which leadsto the rear which I will describe first, this contains all of the trees and plant supplies for your garden and I am sure that if you are looking for something rare to add to your garden you will find it here with their vast supplies of gardening tools and outdoor equipment.
If you then proceed to the exit of the garden centre you will pass an array of pet supplies including cages and animal necessities such as food and bedding. Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Gerbils, Rats, Chinchillas they have all household pets and all the supplies to provide them with a happy house and all at reasonable prices, I absolutely love rabbits and enjoy visiting to see the new ones that have come in and they range from GBP25+ and are soooooooo cute!!

After passing the pet supplies you approach the seasonal items which during my visit was the household decorations and gifts which included ligh fixtures, ornaments, furniture, candles, cookery equipment all pretty nicknaks that you do not get to see in most high street stores.

Finally you approach the tills and exit which ltakes you back onto the car park via the ice cream shop and take away which offers local icecream Snugburys and the usual junk food takeaway of chips and burgers if you do not want to cross over to the cafe located in the Palms.

Next door to the garden centre is the Angling Center which has all accessories that you can think of located in a huge space with Carp, Match, Specimen, Sea and Game sections with fishing poles/rods, that allow you to test the ones out on display with the help of the friendly service team.

I am hoping to visit stapeley when they have the Seasonal Christmas items on display as judging by my previous visits this has got to be something to see especially as they promise Santa in his grotto!!!

Stuck at a loose end have a visit its all undercover so perfect for that rainy day out!!!

I like Stapeley as it is a little different to the other Garden Centres by me and gives you more of a day out with plenty to see and a great selection of pets and fish.

Summary: Seasonal offers year round.

I haven't been here for years, since I lived in the NW. I used to enjoy it though

We've gone past the signs for Stapely many times when visiting the huge garden centre nearby, but have never been into the Water Gardens! :o)
