Stapeley Water Gardens- a real treasure to Nantwich!
Oh how I miss this place (reflecting back)! I used to live 12 doors down from this place so I know quite a lot about it! When I was growing up, me and my sisters always used to walk here and admire the fish and play on the park and if we were lucky and our parents had given us some money- get a Rollover hot-dog!!
There really is something for the whole family here! Here are some of the attractions you can visit here:
1) Garden centre
2) Water garden centre
3) Palms tropical oasis
4) Camping and outdoor
5) Angling centre
6) Fish and pet centre
The Garden Centre
What can I say everything is good value, high quality and there are a wide variety of plants and products. There are beautiful display pools and the very experienced staff can talk you trough everything they have to offer. Some of the great gardening brands that they sell are Gardman, Gardena, Spear & Jackson, Miracle-Gro and more! They also sell male/female/children/baby clothes and lots of more little gadgets!
The Water Garden Centre
Stapeley water gardens have been leaders in water gardening since 1965, they have everything you need to create and build your perfect water garden, from pond pumps & pond liners, filters, UVCs, water features and garden lighting, as well as one of the largest collections of pond plants in the country. I can admit that these look absolutely fantastic- I wish I could have one!
Palms Tropical Oasis
Don't miss out on this! This is an exhibition of a deep rainforest with a family of Meerkats, Poison Dart Frogs, Tarantula, Piranhas, Coati brothers a Caiman Crocodile and a 20 foot Python! You can also explore tropical plants, take a rest at the Italian cafe or admire the scenery! This is great for all of the family!
Camping and Outdoor
They do lots of camping gear- tents and loads of accessories needed to enjoy a good old camp in a forest! They sometimes have a tent show on which is good if you are looking for one!
Angling Centre
Perfect for those who love this kind of thing! Whether you need to top up your accessories or make a once in a lifetime purchase, Stapeley Angling Centre have everything you'll ever need.
They have a massive 13,000 square foot superstore on one level and have Carp & Specimen, Match & Coarse, Sea and Game departments!!
Fish and Pet Centre
We bought two lovely love birds from here. Unfortunately one died and the other flew away! They sell stuff for small animals, birds, cats and dogs also the best selection of pet bedding. All of the animals are locally bred and they have all records- the well trained staff will help you with this!
