Swansea has a huge history of being a main copper exporter; it used to ship copper around the world. Swansea was also one of the first places to have trams and had trams along the mumbles coast and right into the city centre, but all of this has now gone today, but for a glimpse of Swansea’s past visit the Swansea Maritime. The museum is situated by the Marina and was part of the re-generation of the area. The marina is right next to the town centre and the whole marina area is a great place to spend a day.
