Advantages: great area, spectacular view, excellent hospitality

Disadvantages: Can't think of any!

At first the thought of staying on a farm wasn't that appealing I must admit. The images are not what I would associate with a weekend away. We only went to give it a chance. You have to try these things before writing them off. I am glad we did, now I don’t think we’ll ever stay in a “normal” B&B ever again.

Trerosewill Farm is situated in Boscastle which is excellent anyway. It is a beautiful part of Cornwall (I have written an op on Boscastle if you wanted anymore information.) The farm itself is walking distance to the pubs, shops etc. Although you are close to the village the farm is off the road and secluded which makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere which I thought was nice. The house was pretty, there was plenty of parking and great views.

The room we stayed in was massive. At first when we walked in we thought we were sharing! There was a double bed and bunk bed in one part of the room. Then there was a single bed which was in the part of the room as you walk in. There were skylight windows which allowed you to look at the spectacular view. From our room we could see the sea. The bed was really comfy, in fact, I didn’t want to get out of it. There was also a TV, kettle with all the tea and coffee and the bathroom items (shower gel, shampoo etc). The rooms all varied in price so I’m assuming that they were all different inside. We stayed in Minster, one of the biggest I think.

The service was excellent. We were made to feel at home and Cheryl the owner was very friendly. You can see why everyone there was happy and relaxed. The breakfast was also a delight. It was served in the conservatory which of course had the beautiful view again. There was the full English breakfast, cereal, toast, fruit and fresh fish on request (I can’t remember what fish it was, sorry). You can see why they have won the Good Food Awards 2000/2001 and Farmhouse of the Year.

If you are
looking for a nice break from it all then Trerosewill Farm could be for you. There are plenty of places to go to around Boscastle. If you are interested take a look at the website:
