The Waterfront Hall is an iconic Belfast building that is literally being eclipsed which is such a shame. Originally built in 1997 the Hall was an early vote of confidence in the new more peaceful Belfast. Largely Belfast had turned its back on the Lagan river and the hall was one of the newest and most exciting developments there that have now mushroomed. A concert hall and exhibition centre, the hall is built in a circular shape featuring much glass to take advantage of the view. Outside there were paved plazas and a waterfront walk.
