Borovets:
... never been on a skiing/snowboarding holiday before (i had several hours tuition in a UK snow centre) i was realy hoping for somewhere quite simple and where the slopes didnt pose too much of a challenge. I snowboarded by the way. I found Borovets, this turned out to be perfect for me as there were plenty of small slopes that i got aquainted with for the first few days and then there is a large mountain that m... Val Thorens ... visited Val Thorens two years ago on my first ever ski holiday. The resort is located in the Three Valleys in the French Alps, not far from the Swiss border. I have been told it s a couple of hours from the nearest ariport, however, we drove from the UK, so I can only go on what I ve been told. My first impression of the resort was how pretty is was. It is nestled in the middle of the mountains, with the ski slopes right in the resort, no need to get cable cars up mountains or anything, you can walk straight out your hotel and onto the slopes. The slopes in the resort were for a mixture of ski abilities. There is one main slope that you need to ski down into the ... Read the full review: Skiing in Val Thorens by catherine21 |

Murren ... have been skiing in this resort since I could walk, as my father and grandfather were. It is situated in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, on the Blumenthal mountain, in the Jungfrau region. I can really do nothing but sing its praises. It is the tiniest, prettiest village, comprising of 3000 beds for tourists and the rest of the locals, with chalets and hotels arranged around one upper and one lower main road, with little paths in between. In the winter months you can ski on the roads, and it is perfectly safe- I think there is a total of 4 cars in the village. This is due to the fact that Mürren is situated on the top of a sheer rock face, and the only way to ... Read the full review: Mürren by friendofmaddo |

Morzine in general ... spent a whole winter season in Morzine, 4 months altogether and can safely say it was the best time of my life! I stayed in the Chalet Nantegue which is a relaxed chalet run by snowboarders. This means they know what you want as a customer and will do anything to ensure they meet your requirements. You can stay at the chalet wether you are spending 4 months there or just 1 week, the cost is charged on a daily basis much like a hostel. Rooms range from Single rooms up to large 6 bed dorm rooms, i opted for the 3 bed dorm and was comfortable. The atmosphere in the chalet is great, parties and BBQ s are frequently arranged of which attract people from all over the town. As...
