Adelboden

Newest Review: ... was deserted and there was hardly anything there. The final area was Englistalp (very similar names!) which was reached by two separate buses and then cable car. this was good and had lots of red runs although it was a bit difficult to get to. In general I think Adelboden is a good family resort but does not have enough variety to keep intermediate skiers occupied for more than a week. ... more

Adelboden is situated in the Berner Oberland, and is a delightful family ski resort. The majority of the skiing is based on beginners and intermediates, with a couple of black slopes although only three of these were open when I was there. We stayed in a hotel called Beau Site which had a great deal for three adults sharing a room- one got accommodation free but had to pay the price of half board food. The hotel was nice although the rooms were a little small for three adults. There was a sauna for use after getting back from the slopes which was greatly appreciated!
