Newest Review: ... place is picture postcard pretty, set in the Italian Alps only 25 miles from the Austrian border. The only downsides are that it can be a little chilly at times in the shadows and the sun does go down quite early at this time of the year. It is about a 3hr transfer from Verona but the scenery is so good that you soon forget about this. I have been skiing for about 8 years, sometimes twice a season, and up until now I had not been to a resort where I thought "I must go back there" - be prepared to feel like that about Arabba. Pay the extra and go. Just lovely........ more

Myself, my wife and son went to Arabba for the 1st time in January 2005. We stayed at the Arabba Sport Hotel and it was just like going back in time to the perfect elegant hotels you probably envisaged before you started skiing. Good food, wine, relaxed and looking as if it had been carved from a solid block of wood. The rooms are very comfortable, even supplying you with gowns and slippers for your trip to the pool, exotic showers and sauna. The runs can be quite challenging at first especially for beginners, but the grooming is generally pretty good, but the rewards are tremendous. The lift system is excellent.
