Superb mountains for climbing and skiing. Named after an Indian who survived an axe blow to the head K-country , as its known to the locals, is situated between Banff and Calgary. So it's very convenient for the facilities, i.e. bars and nightclubs, offered by these two towns. The skiing events of the Calgary winter olympics were held here so theres loads of up to date accomodation and facilities. Great mountains for anything from Alpine style ascents to day walks.
