Advantages: Fantastic for all skiing abilities

Kaprun is a top quality resort. Fantastic for all abilities in skiing or snowboarding. Its a 2 hour 15 minutes tranfer from Salzburg so its quite a long transfer but has an amazing views of the mountains and some lovely resorts so plenty to look at while your on the way there. Kaprun is situated at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier which is just breathtaking. Its a high glacier resort so should have snow all throught the ski season. Kaprun has lots to offer, on and off the piste. It has an amazing sports centre the Optimum which has fantastic facilities which includes a indoor swimming pool and fitness studio. There are plenty of other activities you can experience in the resort such as sleigh rides, bowling, ice skating and even indoor tennis. Most of the hotels are fantastic quality and offer B&B or half board options. Eating out in Kaprun isnt a problem there is plenty to choose from for all tastes and budgets. For a 3 course evening meal you would be looking at around 15-20euros which is really good for the quality you will recieve. At of course its great for kids, the ski schools are great with the kids and some hotels offer babysitting or creche facilities.
