Total beginners are advised to head to the Nasserein area of St Anton as there are a number of nursery slopes with a shallow gradient. I would advise visiting the Olympic hotel for lunch, and perhaps oddly, urge you to use their toilets, I won't ruin the surprise, but you must go there, it is quit extraordinary. In summery, young families will enjoy Lech, but beginners and advanced skiiers will enjoy St Anton more.... more

Lech, a small resort in the aarlbeg region of austria is one of the prettiest ski reorts in the world. I first went there when i skiied in St Anton, the larger, neighbouring resort. Although advanced skiiers will find nothing here that will really test them, this place is well worth a visit, especially if it is a day trip from St Anton.
