Advantages: Short queues, plenty of runs, good hotels

Disadvantages: No half pipe, Not many black runs

We visted this resort last year for the first time and we will be going back in the future.

There is a really good mix of blue and red runs. There are some black runs but if you are looking for adrenilin fueled runs then this probably isn't the place for you.

The slopes are really wide and well maintained - we were really lucky because it snowed the day before we got there and then we had beautiful blue skies for the whole week. This meant that conditions were good. The only problems were late in the day because there was one section in the middle of the hill which was a little bit narrower than most, the top surface would melt a bit by lunchtime and then freeze over in the late afternoon as it was in the shade and so would get a bit icy - you just needed to be careful, and the final run into the village would get a bit busy at the end of the day when all the ski schools were finishing

The two resorts are linked by a Cable car which takes about 15 minutes and so opens out even more runs - there is a particularly good red run which takes you right down to the bottom - and even for a average skiier like myself it was fun.

We went at Feb half Term last year and the queues were not excessive. The ski/board schools were well run and enjoyable.

There is no half pipe so if you have a boarder who likes to do lots of tricks then this may not be an ideal place to stay. I am reliably informed my the boarders in my house that there are plenty of great off piste places and enough edges to complete various jumps.

I can also recommend the medical facilities - which hopefully you won't need - they were effecient and effective when my son injured his wrist (mad boarder who like to do jumps!!!).

I would recoomend this to families as the majority of nightlife centres on the hotels - there are a couple of bars but nothing too raucous

Summary: Good family resort for intermediate skiiers and boarders
